As a shopper, you know that theFord Explorer offers a stylish look with plenty of interior space for anything you have in mind. You may not know that Ford makes a few changes from year to year, giving those who buy new access to more features. While the 2024 Explorer costs a little more, shoppers near Heidelberg will notice other changes. Discover what’s new with the 2024 Ford Explorer and how it compares to the 2023 model.
Changes for 2024
For 2024, Ford has opted to drop the hybrid powertrain from its lineup. If you work for a local police department or Sheriff’s office, the Ford Explorer hybrid is still available as a police interceptor vehicle. Instead of a hybrid engine with 318 horsepower, you now have your choice of two engines with 310 to 400 horsepower. One minor change is that the 2024 Explorer now has a higher starting price than last year’s. It looks like the higher trims have higher prices, too.
As much as we’d love to find even more changes to the Explorers for sale, they look just like those from 2023. Ford refreshed the model in 2023 and liked the design enough to stick to it. You’ll find the same trims in 2024, like the Limited, with a 10.1-inch touchscreen, 20-inch aluminum wheels, and a leather interior. Also available is the King Ranch, which features exclusive King Ranch wheels and leather upholstery for buyers who want premium features.
